Welcome to APAA! The home of Auckland Performing Arts Academy (2018) Ltd. offering youth a musical theatre training programme.
APAA offers musical theatre training to students from 7 to 21 years. Our goal is to unlock the potential in all our students through weekly training sessions in singing, dancing and acting, culminating in a fully produced show at the end of each semester (twice a year). As well as developing their triple-threat skills, musical theatre training benefits students by increasing their confidence, empathy, compassion, problem-solving skills, and perseverance. What’s more, it’s been shown that students who study the performing arts have a higher rate of academic achievement overall, so our training benefits their all-round development.
APAA runs its training/rehearsal sessions from two venues in Takapuna, on Auckland’s North Shore, with easy access from the northern motorway.
Through our programme APAA students will flourish as individuals, while we feed their imagination and ‘let their talent take flight’!
