Programmes

We offer two streams of training; the Broadway and West End programmes. All students enrolling in either stream will receive weekly training and will perform in a fully produced show at the end of the semester. However, the Broadway programme offers students more intensive, triple-threat training and an additional weekly time commitment. Read carefully below what each programme offers and ensure you register for the programme which suits you best.

BROADWAY PROGRAMME

Students who enrol in our Broadway programme will receive intensive weekly musical theatre training in singing, dancing and acting. This training will cover a wide range of techniques in each discipline, including, but not limited to: vocal training – breathing techniques, posture; acting through singing, emotion; dance – various styles and techniques; acting – breaking down a script, intention.

Our Broadway students will also have the opportunity to audition for principal/lead/featured roles and the Dance Troupe for the end of Semester production.

The Broadway Programme is broken down into three groups, based on age. The group a student fits into is determined by the school year group/age at the start of the semester.

Broadway Level 1:  students in school years 5 & 6 ($590per student per semester)

Broadway Level 2:  students in school years 7, 8, 9 & 10 ($590per student per semester)

Broadway Level 3:  students in school years 11, 12, 13 and older ($590per student per semester)

Broadway Programme Training

Thursday evening:

6.30pm – 8pm:  Blue Group (students in school year 5, 6, 7, 8, 9)

8pm – 9.30pm:  Purple Group (students in school year 10, 11, 12, 13 and older)

6.30pm – 9.30pm: Lead role rehearsals – as required each week

Students attend with their year level group for musical theatre training and when called for specific show rehearsals/training. Every week, all Broadway students will attend a singing, acting or dance masterclass – there will be a different genre each week, until Thursday 13 June, when full cast rehearsals will commence.

Saturday: 12.30pm – 6.00pm. Students from both the Broadway and West End programme will attend a 1 hour 30-minute show rehearsal/training session together. These sessions are broken down by school year group. In addition, Broadway students who are cast in our Dance Troupe, will attend for a separate 1 hour rehearsal/training class.

Broadway Programme Show Performances

As lead roles may be double cast, Broadway students who are cast in a lead role, will also perform in the show as part of the ensemble when they are not performing in their lead role. Broadway students will perform in all performances.

WEST END PROGRAMME

Students enrolling in our West End programme will receive weekly musical theatre training at weekly rehearsals, as our creative team work with them on enhancing their performance skills, whilst working on songs, scenes and choreography for the production. They will perform in the ensemble of the show at the end of the semester. This programme is designed for students who are keen to develop their musical theatre skills and who wish to perform in a show, but may not be able to commit to additional weekly rehearsals and the extra work required for a principal/lead/featured role or as a member of the Dance Troupe.

The West End Programme is broken down into three groups, based on age. The group a student fits into is determined by the school year group/age at the start of the semester.
